We welcome our very first intern to the FWC family! We’re very proud to accept him into our fold after some very persistent attempts at working with us. He’s a skillful and thoughtful designer and studies Communication Design at the International Program at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. You can check out his tumblr here sonofjumbo.tumblr.com and his instagram here instagram.com/sonofjumbo. He’ll be taking over the FWC instagram for a week, so make sure you follow him on there!
This past we weekend we tabled at the LA Art Book Fair organized by Printed Matter Inc. at the MOCA Geffen Contemporary in Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo. It was absolutely amazing, the sheer grandness of it was overwhelming! We met a bunch of new people, saw some old friends and sold out of some of our zines and prints. It was super exhausting but we enjoyed every moment of it! We definitely want to be part of it again next year.
Also, in case you missed us, we were asked to have a couple of our zines at the MOCA store. So look out for that at the Geffen Contemporary location!!
And last but not least, a special thanks to Tania who made our zine stands!
Gold Coast Trading Company designed a t-shirt for the much awaited opening of the Museum of African Design in Johannesburg that opened it’s doors in October of this year. I was lucky enough to get a sample sent over to LA from Emeka! Finally got the chance to pull out the camera and put one of my fav photo victims in front of it. My dear friend Tania gracefully modeled. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do! You can look at a couple more photos on my portfolio site here.
