Our event at Space 15 Twenty was a great success, we had an awesome group of zinesters and we had a lot of fun. We are truly grateful to be able to do this and getting such a great response from all of you.
This time around we had an almost whole new group of people, there were established people like Neverpress to newbies like Robert De Leon and a whole array of more awesome in between!
This was the first time that we were almost speechless to the work that people were exposing.
And all that was accompanied by great music from our friends Abeskees (and his whole crew) and Delofi
We boothed a table at the 1st Annual San Diego Zine Fest at The Spot Barrio Logan a weekend ago (10/6) and we were stoked to be out there! It was Sara’s first time heading that far south of Southern California and I knew she’d enjoy the ride. While we were out there, we got to hang out with our friends, filmmaker & photographer Jo Kami (why do you have two websites, Jo?) and his significant other, artist Victoria Lee. Check out their stuff, they do really amazing work! We were also stoked to see our fellow LA zinesters Brodie Hubbard of Fair Dig Zine (which he briefly interviewed us here for his Shakey Town Radio podcast), Daisy Noemi, Camay from Reflekt Mag
After many weeks of hard work we finally finished Bruised zine #1.
The first zine from Bruised is a collection of photos curated within the context of “NUKE CATACLYSM AIDS”—the youth generation’s bastardization of rock paper scissors. Featuring photos from Sara Todd and Lowell Ong.
